Synthetic polymer industrial paints

These are industrial paints that contain synthetic polymers such as epoxy resins, polyurethane resins, phenolic resins and many others.

Synthetic polymers give the paint mechanical, chemical and physical properties specific for industrial application.
Different paints are used depending on requirements, here are the most common ones used.
Epoxy paints offer excellent chemical and mechanical resistance and are ideal for protecting floors, pipes, tanks and metal surfaces exposed to water, acids and solvents.
Polyurethane paints have excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals and bad weather and are widely used for the protection of metal surfaces, floors and equipment.
Thermoplastic paints become soft when heated and harden when cooled, and are used to protect metal and plastic surfaces, such as pipes and valves.
Silicone paints can offer great resistance to both high temperatures and atmospheric agents, and are mainly used for the protection of metal surfaces.
Depending on the type of polymers and the surface to be painted, automatic equipment (pistol sprayers, roller applicators) or manual equipment (brush painting, powder coating, air).
Among the waterproofing of structures activities, however, the most used painting systems are:
- the concrete waterproofing system by crystallization PENETRON® has been used for over 40 years all over the world as the most advanced solution for the construction of waterproof underground structures. Applied to the finished surfaces in the positive and negative phases (counterthrust), or inserted into the "mix design" of the project during the packaging phase, the Penetron® System ensures internal protection of the concrete matrix even in the presence of groundwater and hydraulic thrust, with high resistance to chemical concentrations and contaminants present underground or in the marine environment. The Penetron® System is an "integral" technology: it affects the entire thickness of the treated structure, activates over time and conveys humidity. It is also flexible: it speeds up installation operations and ensures the durability of the waterproofed structure;
- the surface waterproofing system with the application of Polyurea, which serves to prevent the passage of water into the underlying layers or adjacent rooms. The dynamic and physical stresses and thermal variations to which the surfaces and structures to be waterproofed are subjected (roofs, terraces, tunnels, hydraulic works, containment tanks, etc.), imply that the type of waterproofing chosen has high performance characteristics, as it must not only guarantee waterproofness, but must also increase the durability of the structure by supporting its deformations.
We have been operating since 1974 in the sector of applying waterproofing coatings on concrete structures and wall surfaces. We know industrial paints with synthetic polymers and the different treatment cycles to obtain optimal results. We specialize in waterproofing coatings with Penetron® and Polyurea.
